Chemistry Careers Course

Initiated and organized by WCGL members, the new departmental careers course, CHEM309: Navigating Career Options for Ph.D. Chemists, was run for the first time in summer 2005.

Distinguished Women in
Science Colloquia

The DWIS Colloquia are two-day visits by prominent female scientists. On the first day, the speaker will discuss research with students and postdocs and present a formal seminar at 4:15 p.m. in Braun Lecture Hall. On the second day, the speaker will give an informal talk from her experiences as a woman in science. Students are invited to meet informally with the speaker throughout the day to discuss issues of the student's choosing.
